Smile

Smile,
I love to smile... at the littlest things that come my way
dawn to dusk, each step each day
So many things around me that keep me smiling all day

A busy ant, a hovering wasp
a sun dried leaf or a tiny frog
dusty breeze or a wet muddy dog
I can never dismiss these through the rush of day

I can't help but smile... all the while
at the littlest things that come my way
a brief look and I am hooked
to mother nature's beckoning display

An earthworm or a praying mantis
a grasshopper or a jeweled beetle
I crouch for a closer look
they disappear but I am hooked
by their camouflage or their colourful display.

I Smile,
as my lips turn up into a smile
I realise, once again for work I am late
as always I got carried away
with mother nature's eternal but lost, display.
