Let's Celebrate Each Day

My sister lazily buzzed me on my cell phone.

"Hi Jessu, how are you ?" she said in a sleepy tone.
Me "Hey, its Monday today. Aren't you at work ? How come you are calling from work today ?
Armin "Its a holiday. We had a long week end".
Me "Why? How come? Holidays are rare in America"
She "It's Veterans Day"
Me " What's that ?"
She "Veterans day is an official holiday in US to acknowledge the people who have served in the Armed Forces.

Me "Oh wow. That's really nice"
(I have always admired and appreciated those in the armed forces,
for their discipline and selflessness for our protection.)
"We could also have a few such holidays to acknowledge and celebrate the true big things in India".

She "Like...what?"

Me "Like ....er.....

Neta-Sheta Day (politicians day) - for all that they have unscrupulously amassed
supported by Scam-Sham Day - for the 1000 crore scams they have surpassed

Khillao-Pillao Day (alms giving day) - for the daily bribes we pay
and the Dhua-Shua Day (pollution day) - for the inhalation of smog each day

Law-Flaw Day - for the lawlessness in every state
Aisi Ki Taisi Day - for the disdain and road rage we easily display

Paani Kum Day (no water day) - to commemorate the 4am queues
for a bucket of water a day
Batti Bandh Day (no electricity day)- for the regular power cuts we face

Kaam-Kum Day (no work day) - for the innumerable bank holidays
Ankh Bandh Kar Dey (shut eye day) - for the corruption we embrace

Real Estate Day - for the unreal estate rates that we cant pay
Gandh Goond Day (filth & fiefdom day)- for the power of gandh and goons among us who stay

She "Er....any more?
What about the few days that remain in the year?

Me "The remaining days can be celebrated as "Chalta Hai Day".

She "Whats that?"

Me "To acknowledge our 'Chalta Hai' attitude....
It is the rise and fall of us all,
It may help us survive, but not arise through it all".
