An Ode to Our 'Shoe Sense'

I was at the school play ground and I noticed most children looked like Donald duck in oversized school shoes. The loose fit clearly hampered their skill and speed. 
So here is an ode to our shoe sense.

An ode to our Shoe Sense 

(a passing observation .... it ain't no non sense)

We all love shoes 

good fitting befitting shoes.

Trendy, sturdy,

strappy, flappy,

high heels or platform

sporty feel or rugged form.

It all boils down to one point Really Strong...

It's the Good, Fitting, Befitting shoe that help us all along.

But for our kids

It's usually...

OVER sized shoes

in the hope for.... L-O-N-G life shoes

Never mind the heels slipping out, when our little hero's run all out

Or the shoe flying high when the foot ball is kicked about.

Unfortunately  "Fit"

is not the important bit,

Its the number of years

that the child can out wear, and the shoe can bear the roughness through his mud years.

But, 

no shoe big or small will live that long to watch them grow tall.

So, don't you agree

A good fit.....

will help deliver a good kick,
have great fun                                                                  
and give a good run.
