Breakfast With Butterflies

Flit-flutter beautiful butterflies
flirting twittering in the morning shine
nectar and morning dew maketh their wine
as I sip my morning tea of honey ginger lime

They flutter by
flapping their dual colours
in fluttering flight
blue and brown wings flapping double time

One to one they pair and fly
some get wooed others denied
Their wanderlust continues
as does my breakfast with butterflies.

The African Grass Blue is a tiny butterfly (size of your thumb nail) common in our parks and gardens.
